|The purpose of the bunker was to construct U-boats (submarines). The 9 parts of the specific U-boat, U-boat XXI, were already finished. In the bunker they would put all the parts together and then a complete U-boat would leave the bunker.|

We can see on the right that they are fulling the dry dock with sea water. It seems to be a military ship, and if my memory doesn´t fail, Yokohama city is a "self defense Japanese troops´ place.
In opposite, I can´t see the young beautiful lady with the bottle of Champagne...

In the dock is the frigate HMS Plymouth and along side it is submarine HMS Onyx, both of which saw service in the Falklands conflict, and a D-Day landing craft.
