Dodge City AAF was located 6 miles northwest of the town of Dodge City. The Army Airfield was built in 1942 for the 70,000 Pilot Training Program, to train pilots & crews of medium bombers, primarily B-25s.
Dodge City was also used during WW2 to train French aircrews.
Completely new build city with space for up to 1.000.000 people, but only 28.000 inhabitants. A brand new airport can be seen about 15km south west of the city.
This ring is huge (3.320m = 10.895ft.) in diameter but not very well kept and partly being taken over by the sprawling mega-city.
