While only half-complete, the Captain Meriwether Lewis dustpan dredge was launched in December 1931 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps completed construction the following year. The Captain Meriwether Lewis National Historic Landmark is one of the few surviving examples of its type built to control flooding and improve Navigation along the Nation's rivers.

Isle of Man Prison is a mixed-use prison located in the Jurby parish of the Isle of Man. The prison is operated by the Isle of Man Prison Service (part of the Department of Home Affairs) and is the only functioning prison on the island.

HSC Manannan is a high-speed catamaran car ferry owned and operated by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. She arrived in Douglas on 11 May 2009 after a major refit in Portsmouth. She was renamed after ManannŠn mac Lir, the Celtic god of the sea, and made its maiden service voyage with the Steam Packet Company on Friday 22 May 2009 with the 07:30 sailing from Douglas to Liverpool.
