|Here's a look at the strangest airport I've ever seen. The airport is built on a small peninsula going perpendicular so it is built out over the water. In order to get past the airport, cars have to drive over the main strip of the runway. There looks to be railroad crossing style drop-down gates at each end of the crossing road.|
You can see more close-ups of the road/runway at h...
|World's first runway for extraterrestrial cultures.|
The two roundabouts connecting the municipality Houten with the A27 highway and their connecting road have been transformed into a runway for extraterrestrial cultures. The one roundabout is a UFO landing platform, a lighted smooth tar plate decorated with a giant letter U. On the other roundabout a control tower, which signals ...
|This is a very strange road system: freeway directly connected to the runway!!|
Look to the left, you can find a tunnel less than 700m.I think it is more like a giant shelter for air crafts.

|What appears to be a random jet besides a road, not too far away from the airport, but neither in a storage area or on the runway. Did the plane crash? Is it a bombing target? OR what?||02/15/2007||822|
|The Dornier 328Jet was to depart Manassas (HEF) for Myrtle Beach (MYR). During takeoff from runway 34R (5700 ft long) the crew reportedly had an airspeed miscompare. The takeoff was aborted but the airplane could not be stopped on the remaining runway length. It went through the perimeter fence and crossed Observation Road, coming to rest near the Cannon Industrial Park.|

|One of several points along the Military Road where the cliff edge is just getting too close to the road. Combined tidal and weather erosion has already caused this road to be re-routed several times. The road was originally a straight Roman road, the foundations of which can be seen in places in the cliff face.||03/04/2006||933|
|The pilot first made a low pass down runway 29 and then return to land on runway 11.|
After touchdown the airplane failed to stop and overran the runway and into the Intercoastal Waterway.

The executive jet stopped at water.

|This file contains place marks where you can spot airplanes at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, WA.|
Water Tank: This spot is the best for spotting airplanes, but is not great for photography since your about 300 yards away from Runway 16R.
Jetblast Road: This is a dirt parking stip, but the planes soar right over your head.
