|The Steamship William G. Mather is a retired Great Lakes bulk freighter now restored as a maritime museum in Cleveland, Ohio, one of four in the Great Lakes region. She transported cargo such as ore, coal, stone, and grain to ports throughout the Great Lakes, and was nicknamed "The Ship That Built Cleveland" because Cleveland's steel mills were a frequent destination. |

Built for the film, "Mutiny on the Bounty" starring Mel Gibson, Bounty is a faithful replica of Captain Bligh's 18th Century Vessel.
The original Bounty was burned by Fletcher Christian at Pitcairn Island in 1789, but the legend lives on.

These vulcanic caldera lakes, called Maar, are located in the beatifull Eifel Montains, Germany. They are of vulcanic origin and very deep (200 feet and more). In some lakes you can swim, some are closed for watersports.
