Itís the six letter mantra of the Buddha of Compassion, or AVALOKITESHVARA. It goes, Ohm, Ma, Nih, Pedh, Meh, Hung. This is sort of the most widely recited Mantra by Tibetans, and you will find this even carved on stones everywhere in Tibet.
Dagze Co (Lake) is one of many inland lakes in Tibet, with a present area of 260 km2 (100 square miles). In glacial times, the region was considerably wetter, and lakes were correspondingly much larger. Changes in climate have resulted in greater aridity on the Tibetan Plateau.
Diamond Way Buddhist Center New York is part of an international network of over 400 meditation centers in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. The centers were founded and are directed by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. 16th Karmapa. They are now under the spiritual guidance of H.H. 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje.
The building is situated in the centre of Athens. When you arrive there, press the number 18 bell and they will unlock the front door. The Centre is on the third story, to the right. On Sunday there's no one there.
