|One of the AA batteries that protected the German port town Emden was near the hamlet of Nansun, at the Dollarddijk close to Holwierde. It was manned by the 2./M.Fl.A. 256. Three other batteries were at Delfzijl, Farmsum and Termunten. |
From M.Fl.B. Nansun only a Fl 246 (Munitionsauffüllraum) and a M 383 (Einheitsmaschinenraum) remain. Sheep has confiscated both bunkers.
|South of the headquarters of M.A.A. 205 you' ll find M.K.B. Vineta. This battery is on the same place as a former Dutch coastal battery. Initially the guns were on open platforms, but with the Schartenbauprogramm of 1943, four 671SK were built. For the secondary fieldguns a 612 was used. The fire control-post of the former Dutch battery was kept into use for its original purpose. |

|Batterie Nord was one of four AA batteries around Vlissingen. The remainings of this battery can be found in the so called Bunkerbos (Bunker wood) in Vlissingen' s district of West-Souburg. |M.K.B. Zanddijk consisted of two ammunitionbunkers, a M 120 (Leitstand für eine 17 cm Batterie) and two M 219 (Stand für 15 cm SKC/28 in Drehhaube C/34). These two M 219 are the only two built in the Netherlands. The guns of these bunkers came from the battleship Gneisenau. |The reason why these gigantic cannons came to Møvik was that on the occupation of Norway and Denmark in 1940 the Germans needed to guard the shipping lanes of the Skagerak. 38 cm cannons were planned here at Møvik and across the shortest distance over the Skagerak to Hanstholm in Denmark, some 116 km away.
