|The old Hojerup Church was build of chalk stones from the cliff in 1250 to 1300 and was far away from the cliff. Because of erosion during time the church came closer to the cliff and 1928 the chansel and parts of the church yard fell down. But the church was allready closed in 1910.|
Today the church is secured and open to public with a great view over the Baltic Sea.

|When James Hepburn, Earl of Bothwell, died 1576 or 1578 in his cell on nearby Dragsholm Castle he was layed to rest in a chapel underneath Faarevejle church.|
From 1949 he got his final resting place in a new chapel. He was showed laying in his coffin covered by glas. 1976 the coffin was closed but photos were taken and are on display on the wall. On display is also his coat of arms.
