|A small theatre in the near off Dortmund. The owner of the theatre was some years a go the speaker in the Westfalia-Stadion of Dortmund. The observatory was build in two phases. The library was build in the late 1950th as a buildung of the 1st "Bundesgartenschau". In the middle of the 1970th the "Astronomische Verein Dortmund e.V." (founded 1913) has gone to this building.
In autumn of 1984 the club has opened the new observatory building with a 25 cm mirror tele...
The passenger terminal can be reached by leaving the motorway A7 (Hamburg/Kassel) or the motorway A2 (Berlin/Dortmund) at the exit for Langenhagen or for the A352.
