Tallest flagpole in Denmark

Tallest flagpole in Denmark

The tallest flagpole in Denmark is 47,75 meters tall and the flag (dannebrog) is 140m2. The knob is a golden krown and is 0.5 meters tall. It was designed by Brondbys former Mayor Kjeld Rasmussen.
The pole is standing on a base of 12 meters long iron bars and is going 4 meters bown into the ground.

To hoist and low the flag the pole contains an electric motor device.

IS Towers, Istanbul, Turkey

The 52-floor IS Bank Tower 1 is the tallest office building in Turkey and the Balkan peninsula (southeastern Europe). It entered service with the ceremonies between August 23 and 26, 2000. Its official height is 181.20 m "without" the flag pole, and 194.57 m "including" the flag pole.

Oymyakon is known as the Northern Pole of Cold. On January 26th, 1926, a temperature of -71.2°C (-96 °F) was recorded there. This is the lowest temperature ever recorded in any locality on Earth that has permanent, year-round human habitation. It is also the lowest temperature recorded for the Northern hemisphere.
