|When you want to visit Sylt by car you have two ways. Either go to Romo in Denmark and take the ferry to List or you can take the train.|
You drive your car up on a train waggon and is driven to the train station on Westerland on Sylt or Niebüll on main land and cross the Hindenburg-Dam.

|HSC Manannan is a high-speed catamaran car ferry owned and operated by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. She arrived in Douglas on 11 May 2009 after a major refit in Portsmouth. She was renamed after Manannán mac Lir, the Celtic god of the sea, and made its maiden service voyage with the Steam Packet Company on Friday 22 May 2009 with the 07:30 sailing from Douglas to Liverpool. |
|Lager Sylt was the name of the Nazi concentration camp on Alderney in the Channel Islands between March 1943 and June 1944. It is thought to have been mainly a labour camp with possibly 1,000 inmates. 460 people are believed to have died in the Alderney camps. These were the only Nazi concentration camps to have existed on British soil.|
