 | On this place stod the birthplace of German painter Emil Nolde. He left the house in 1904 when he moved to the island Als. He lived here during summers, in the winter he lived in Berlin.
1916 he moved to Ubjerg south of Tønder where he lived until 1926 when he moved to Seebüll.

Here is the house where he lived. It's a private home. On the other side of the road you see a small brown square. It was the side of the tool shed where he made the figures. Unfortunately the shed with figures burned down august 27th. 2005
