Concrete Cows

Concrete Cows

Milton Keynes in the UK is the butt of many jokes for its concrete cows. These cows were placed in a field next to the main London-Glasgow railway line so that passengers looking out onto the new city of Milton Keynes would see cows grazing in a field as they went by.

Cows Grazing behind Firing Range

Cows Grazing behind Firing Range

Get this: the cows are grazing down-range of the tagets. So if you shoot with a strong gun with a large enough range...and you miss, your gonna have a cow wth some bullet-holes. Interesting prospect. Unless the firing range is closed, or the cows get moved before getting turned into mince meat.

Burnham Family Farm Market is situated on one corner of our 400-plus acre farm. Portions of the farm have been in the Burnham family since the 1830. Up until 1995, dairy farming and cash cropping were the predominant commodities of our farm. In 1994, the market land, formerly known as Ontario Orchards was added to our farm acreage and Burnham Family Farm Market was born.

The name of a large farm situated on a hillside in the Waitaki Valley in North Otago New Zealand. The letters are formed by tall macrocarpa pine hedges maintained by the farm owner. Thye are visible from the highway and have been there for more than 40 years. I recall seeing them in the early 1960's.

Aligator Farm

Aligator Farm

This is the St. Augustine aligator farm. Another tourist attraction. It is a nice place to visit for the family. There is a long wood walkway that takes you all around the farm and you can watch them feed the alligators. But boy the smell almost takes your breath away. But the kids love it. It also has a small zoo like area with a few small animals.
