Portsmouth Docks - 1912 Overlay

Portsmouth Docks - 1912 Overlay

Portsmouth Dockyard has been at the forefront of maritime technological developments since it was the site of the world's first dry dock in 1495.

That was followed in the 1690s by the first stone wet and dry docks which can still be seen today, one being the home to HMS Victory and another to Mary Rose.

Dock area during the attack on Pearl Harbor, 7th December 1941

The Photograph did not match exactly, because of the angle of the plane.
You can see USS Nevada passing the docks and the burning destroyers in Dry Dock 1.

The second wave's dive bomber attack on Pearl Harbor focused on the ships around the docks. The USS Pennsylvania and the USS Cassin and USS Downs were in Dry Dock 1 and came under heavy attack. The USS Nevada makes a r...

Port, Bilbao, Spain

Port, Bilbao, Spain

Bilbao's port is the biggest in Spain, with over 30km of docks. It's only Spain's 3rd in traffic, after Barcelona and Algeciras. Great enlargement projects have been developed in the last years, as you can see the large red and pink docks in the southern section didn't exist when the satellite images were taken!

Plane Landing at Keahole

Plane Landing at Keahole

A plane landing at Keahole airport, Hawaii. I'm pretty sure this plane is landing because it has already developed the blue "ghost" effect, which comes when an object is traveling very fast. If the plane were taking off, the blue effect wouldn't be there yet, because the plane couldn't accelerate in such a short distance from the end of the runway.
