Dominating the plain of Alsace to more than 700 meters of altitude, the fortress of Haut-Koenigsbourg counts with the number of the jewels bequeathed by the medieval builders. Very faithfully restored at the beginning of the XXe century, it preserves however the sober aspect of a large feudal castle.
