The legend of Robin Hood says he was very ill and came to Kirklees Hall where they hided him in the gatehouse at the nearby priory. He said if he died he wanted to be burried where his arrow landed so he firen an arrow. Then he was blood-letted but took so much that he died.

This hangar was partial moved in 1923 from the airship station Baden-Baden-Oos to Auggen. It was rebuild for the Karl Richtberg AG as a lumber mill hall.

It is a munitions storage installation for the 424th Air Base Squadron, which is based some 40 miles away at RAF Fairford.

The aircraft NZ4115 (c/n1552) was built for the RAF (SZ584) in1945, and in May 1946 was loaned to BOAC (G-AHJR). After be-ing returned to the RAF, the aircraft was refurbished prior to beingsold to the RNZAF. After being retired by the RNZAF, the aircraftwas donated to MOTAT in December 1966.

RAF Cold War Radar Station

This is RAF Neatishead that during the Cold War identified incomming Soviet aircraft and directed RAF fighters to intercept. It was used until recently but is now closed. In the top left of the site the orignial radar is visisble, and the red roofed building to the south of this is the entrance to the nuclear bunker which housed and protected the operators.
