This is the August Kranti Park (August Revolution) in Mumbai,India. This is the place where in August 1942, Gandhi asked the British to "quit" India. This revolution was hence forward known as the "Quit India Movement". A pillar commemmorating the event can be seen on the right. The empty ground on the left is still used by political parties for rallies and speeches.
