Race to the Clouds

There is nothing like the Race to the Clouds, the second oldest race in the US. Since 1916, daring drivers and motorcycle riders have challenged this famous road. The course begins near Mile 7 on the Pikes Peak Highway. It ends 12.4 miles later at the 14,100-foot summit of Pikes Peak. Between are 156 corners, many of the hairpins, cliffs of 2,000 feet and no guardrails.

This is the rowing race course on Fish Creek in Saratoga, NY. I have drawn in the race course lane lines, important landmarks, and race day boat traffic patterns. Fish Creek is the site of the 2006 Scholastic Rowing Association of America Scholastic National Regatta (SRAA Nationals). Thousands of rowers use the course and this file may be useful to them and regatta volunteers and spectators.
