 | There is nothing like the Race to the Clouds, the second oldest race in the US. Since 1916, daring drivers and motorcycle riders have challenged this famous road. The course begins near Mile 7 on the Pikes Peak Highway. It ends 12.4 miles later at the 14,100-foot summit of Pikes Peak. Between are 156 corners, many of the hairpins, cliffs of 2,000 feet and no guardrails.
