Citadel of Port Louis

In 1590 Spanish troops, who had arrived to support the Duc de Mercoeur (the Catholic Governor of Brittany) in revolt against the Protestant King Henry VI, built the first citadel at Port Blavet. Following Mercoeur's defeat, Port Blavet returned to French control in 1598 and the defences were later restored and extended in the period 1616-36.

Barry Gibb from The Bee Gees purchased it for 2.3 mio $ in 2006. But on april 11. 2007, shortly before Barry Gibb wanted to move in it burned down. The fire began shortly before 2pm.

A half-mile circuit just outside Port Pirie, roughly 200km north of Adelaide, South Australia. Unfortunatly due to regulations, speedway racing is no longer conducted, but the Port Pirie Motorcycle Club has build a supercross circuit there instead.

Because of an engine failure, container ship ‘Safmarine Agulhas’ ran heavily aground on Monday night 26th June at approximately 21h15, shortly after leaving the port of East London en route to Durban. The vessel had 662 tonnes of heavy fuel on board and 88 tonnes of diesel oil. She was carrying 469 loaded containers and 112 empty containers.
