Bramo Factory building was heavily damaged by the U.S. 8th AF heavy bomber attack of 21 June 44. Twenty direct hits gutted the large main workshop, four smaller workshops were seriously damaged.

The Group continued the use of pathfinder methods with a formation of four flights against the Wiener Neudorf Aircraft Engine Factory in Austria on 16 July. Bombing through an almost complete undercast, the Group missed the target when the bombs fell short and to the right.

There are some Heinkel He 177 in the splitter boxes at teh middle left side. Also four Fighter (Bf 109?) in the upper right sector, maybe it's the airfield security swarm.

This photo is from an aerial record compiled by the government in 1944 and shows Wanstead Park and surrounds on 7 August 1944. The H.E. and V1 damage to Heronry Pond can be seen, plus V1 damage in Tennyson Avenue and in Wanstead Park Avenue (just in East Ham but dealt with by Wanstead CD). What appears to be a heavy anti-aircraft battery can also be seen on Wanstead Flats.

The train of Tank cars attacked at this point by 2 Group on the night of 6/7 August 1944 is completely burned out. No truck count is possible but the train is approx. 820 feet long. Both tracks are blocked temorarily.

39 Lancasters and 4 Mosquitos of No 5 Group to a small ball-bearing factory at Annecy on the France-Switzerland border. Weather en route was very bad and only 2 Mosquito marker aircraft reached the target, but the factory was accurately bombed. No aircraft lost.

In Austria, 472 B-24s and B-17s supported by P-51s and P-38s bomb the S industrial area of Vienna, the Wiener-Neudorf aircraft engine factory, Vosendorf oil refinery, and Markersdorf Airfield, and attack targets at Ferrara, Italy, missing a river bridge but hitting a synthetic rubber factory.
