Odd Aircraft in Flight

Odd Aircraft in Flight

I first found the contrails and thought they might be powerlines, but they stopped abruptly, so I zoomed in and found the airliner. By zooming way out, it seems to be enroute from Grand Rapids MI to Detroit Metro Mi. Does anyone know why a/c in flight have these ghost images? Is it because the satellite is moving in a different direction when the photo is take?

The Schoeningen Spears - Schoeninger Speere

The Schoeningen Spears - Schoeninger Speere

In archaeology, Schöningen is famous for eight palaeolithic wooden spears found in an opencast mine near the town. The spears are about 270,000 years old, and are the world's oldest known wooden artifacts. They were found in combination with the remains of about 20 wild horses, whose bones contain numerous butchery marks. This is considered proof that early humans were active hunters.

De Havilland Sea Vixen FAW.2 XJ580 at Tangmere

This is XJ580, seen here at its new home - the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum. Unfortunately she was then rather neglected. Being outside and at the mercy of both the weather and vandalism had left her with a...

Dust Cloud on Mars

Dust Cloud on Mars

This is NOT a crater. It does not match any terrain that surrounds it, and the highlights of the light are opposed to those found in the surrounding craters which means this in rising into the air and not sinking into the ground. There are no Hard edges to define this shape as solid as the craters around it and it is visible from very far away. You may not care for the 4 lights found close b...
