In 2003 the Navy decided to use the 1976 decomissed USS Oriskany to construct an artificial reef, and she was moved from Beaumont to Corpus Christi, Texas for final preparation. As of this writing, she is docked in Pensacola, Florida, awaiting her sinking in June 2005. She will be scuttled as a haven for plant and marine life, and will continue to serve her country forever!

The most visited wreck in the Manitou Islands area, it sank on November 29, 1960 after running into the previously wrecked Walter L. Frost that was about 600 feet south of this wreck, but is no longer visible. She was built in Hamburg, Germany.

The ever first model on Google Earth Hacks located in the country of Pakistan. This model was made by me with having no textures (in version 1.0) but now I recently released version 2.0 of this model which is absolutely real textured. So enjoy this model. More models coming sooner.
Note: This model is Google Earth 4 Compatible, and remember that it will not work with Google Earth...
Warships at the Base piers, circa August 1944. Among them are:
USS Missouri (BB-63), the largest ship;
USS Alaska (CB-1), on the other side of the pier;
USS Croatan (CVE-25), and destroyers of the Fletcher and "Four-Pipe, Flush-Deck" classes at the next pier.
