House of the Wannsee Conference, Berlin

At this villa at Wannsee in Berlin, 15 high-ranking Nazi-officials (among them Reinhard Heydrich and Adolf Eichmann of the SS) met on Jan. 20th 1942 to discuss and decide about the organization of the "Final solution of the Jewish Question", e.g. the deportation and murder of millions of European jews in concentration camps.

It is a memorial site and museum now.

From here on october 18th. 1941 (1251 jews), more than 55000 Berlin jews were sent to the concentration camps of Theresienstadt, Riga, Lodz, Warzaw and later end 1942 directly to the death camp of Auschwitz where they were murdered from this station. To Auschwitz alone drowearound 35 trains with 17000 jews.

Cemetery murdered German Jews in the Riga-Bikernieki-Forest

Between 1941 and 1944, 25,000 German Jews were deportated to Riga and killed in Bikernieki Forest. They were buried in mass graves in the middle of the forest. After the war these mass graves were found back and they are now marked with a remembrance column. There is also a central memorial. This memorial contains the names of the killed.
