Herbert Walton Gleason, Jr. , baptized as John Herbert "Jackie" Gleason, (February 26, 1916–June 24, 1987) was an American comedian, actor and musician. He was known for his brash visual and verbal comedy style, especially by his character Ralph Kramden on the sitcom The Honeymooners. His most noted film role was Minnesota Fats in The Hustler in 1961.
Herbert Island, one of the Islands of Four Mountains group, sits to the west of the island of Chuginadak, from which it is separated by the Chuginadak Pass. (Chuginadak is visible at lower right, with Carlisle Island at upper right). Measuring measuring 10 km across, Herbert Island rises to a heigh of 1,280 m. The summit is topped by a 2 km wide caldera.

At the end of the Second World War, younger boys were asked to defend Germany. On 26 April 1945, when the use of a Panzerfaust was explained, it exploded and 23 boys, at the age from 14 to 19, died. Their remains were buried together in a collective grave.
