A collection of color enhanced infrared satellite images, updated at regular intervals (3 hrs I think). Great tool for observing the hurricanes and typhoons. Note that the alignment in the outer edges of the images is suboptimal.
Two weather satellite images, composite and infrared.
Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Hungary, Bosnia, Italy, Slovenia, Austria and Greece are also covered with this image layer.
Having seen "Dual images" of flying aircraft, do you think this could be another satellite? Keep in mind that the imaging Satellites orbit several hundred miles/kilometers, higher than some Low Earth Orbit Satellites... Also if you follow the line South East, you will notice it is Not a physical structure. Your thoughts?
Dark flows of cooled lava blacken the slopes of Mt. Etna, overrunning the forgetful vegetation that endlessly recolonizes the slopes. The infrared energy the vegetation kicks back toward the satellite is colored red in this scene.

I first found the contrails and thought they might be powerlines, but they stopped abruptly, so I zoomed in and found the airliner. By zooming way out, it seems to be enroute from Grand Rapids MI to Detroit Metro Mi. Does anyone know why a/c in flight have these ghost images? Is it because the satellite is moving in a different direction when the photo is take?
