Hamburg highest building, with an overall height of 279,8 m, from 1965 to 1968 one established. Following of Hamburg main church and landmark St.Michaelis the tower in the vernacular is called gladly "Tele Michel". Momentarily the TV tower is closed because of structural alteration measures.

All left is the church of Altenwerder in Hamburg. 1961 the Hamburg Parlament decided to build a new harbour area and it was a take it or leave it. At the end of the 1970th 200 citicens had left Altenwerder and on january 20th 1982 the law was finally made. Some citicens went to court and got right from court but it was too late. The last citicens left 1997.

Church at cliff

Church at cliff

The old Hojerup Church was build of chalk stones from the cliff in 1250 to 1300 and was far away from the cliff. Because of erosion during time the church came closer to the cliff and 1928 the chansel and parts of the church yard fell down. But the church was allready closed in 1910.
Today the church is secured and open to public with a great view over the Baltic Sea.

Ledoje two storeyed church

The church of Ledoje is the only one of this kind in Denmark. It's in two storeys. On the lower storey the normal people were and the squire and family from a manor that once was next to the tower attended the service.

The church is from around 1225, the tower around 1500.

The Kaiserpfalz in Goslar, Germany, was used as model for the church.
