Catedral (Cathedral) de Tarragona (Spain)

This is a Romanesque-Gothic 12th century cathedral with many ancient artefacts inside. The gardens of the cathedral are very pleasant and contain orange trees. Archaeology done on the cathedral site has proved that there was a Roman temple and then an Arab mosque here before the cathedral was built.

This wonderful cathedral is a magnificent example of the ancient Kingdom of Aragon, and it is actually one of the best cathedrals of Spain. Its pinacles, towers and arches are really impressive. This cathedral is the best reason, more important than beaches, to visit the Balearic Islands.
