Welcome. To set avatar:

Select your name at top right of page. Then edit profile: Then down on the left hand side you will see edit avatar. see pic.

Another way is to click on "UserCP" which brings you to this screen:

On the left you find "Edit Avatar". Here you can set your avatar.
