Here (http://earth.google.com/product_comparison.html) is the official "product comparison sheet" from Google.

I upgraded mine to plus so I could draw polygons (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile82/Turner-Field---Atlanta-Braves-Baseball-Stadium.htm) and trace paths (http://www.googleearthhacks.com/dlfile273/New-York-City-Marathon---Course.htm) on the Earth. Check out that comparison sheet and let us know if you still have questions.

Actually, they're all the same. All of the versions use the exact same satellite data. The differences have to do with being able to draw polygons, save movies, import data, hook up GPS units, etc. The visible images won't get any better with any upgrades.
