i don't have exactly what i tried because the file(s) are on my computer at work, but here's the basics...
i'm writing a kml file to plot placemarks out of a list of address (street, city, state) and i've tried:

etc
<placemark>
etc
<lookat>
<address>*insert address here*</address>
</lookat>
etc
</placemark>
etcinstead of:

etc
<placemark>
etc
<lookat>
<longitude>blah</longitude>
<latitude>blah</latitude>
<range>blah</range>
<tilt>blah</tilt>
</lookat>
etc
</placemark>
etc
is there a way to have the <lookat> tag 'look at' an address instead of coords and plot the placemark via the address instead of the coords? i have over a thousand addresses to plot. don't worry about redundancy, i'm parsing the addresses.

Ok, to sum it up: I need something to the effect of replacing <longitude>, <latitude>, <range>, and <tilt> with just <address>. I was thinking maybe locating the source file of how GE uses the Search field to locate a point when an address is entered (because the code probably converts the address to coords).
