Does anyone know what these circular markings near Portland Bill are?

Not sure, but could it be a helicopter landing site?

There is a placemakr in Community Layer nearby the describes some kind of air defense from WWII. I'm guessing the circles are related to that.

This is Ministry of Defence land and is part of a Magnetic Range site. Apparently they tested equipment there well away from stray electric and magnetic fields.

I can find out any more.
