If you turn on "Google Earth Community" in "Layers" you'll find two placemarks, one of which says:

"SS Tottenham was a British ship, which ran onto the southern fringing reef of Juan de Nova Island in 1911."

Someone beat you to it!!

Interestingly there are a number of websites describing a second wreck on the Eastern side of the island.

Purportedly called 'HMS Springer', the ship is said to have run aground in 1975. A search of Wiki indicates that only one british warship has been named 'HMS Springer' (which is actually an S class submarine). This vessel was launched in May 1945 and eventually sold to the Isreali Navy in October 1958.

The interesting bit is that this vessel was scrapped in 1972?

There are a couple of objects which could be wrecks (other than the Tottenham), but none on the Eastern side of the island as far as I can tell.....
