My first time here and to be posting but I noticed something weird. I'm not here to steal anyones discovery so I will quote the original discoverers.

First of all, these "black circles" were originally found by tizerist (http://www.gearthhacks.com/forums/member.php?u=38335), but instead of starting a new post, he pointed out these black circles in an already occurring discovery about "blue buildings" (http://www.gearthhacks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8287) in Saudi Arabia.
What gets me puzzled is that what the huge circles can be. They do look like giant vinyl records too me but WHY? Why would huge circles be in the middle of the desert in Saudi Arabia?
These 9 circles have diameters stretching a little less then half mile (.45 mile) and the circumference of the whole area covered by these 9 giant circles is about 3 miles wide! I was wondering if ANYONE had ANY idea to what they are and what purpose they serve for Saudi Arabia.

Also, if you look about 26 miles to the west of the 9 circles, you can see another 3 giant circles.

They look like the typical pivot irrigation systems used in other arid parts of the world. I think the color correction is off a bit making them look darker and bluer than they really are.

They seem to be for water filtering, the water is pumped in circles and is refined to water for farming.

Hi Hi
These circles are desert farming project, in other words, the state employee giant watering machines that goes on a circle around and around, to water the plants they want to grow there. It is cheaper to do that than transport vegetables. Actually if you go to the Libyan Desert, there are plenty of these projects, especially in Kufra, which is south east in Libya.

The answer is quite simple. These are fields with irrigation systems.
I don't know the plants they are growing there but the circular irrigation systems are common in dry areas.
In the middle of the circle is the source of water. Now an arm is circling over the field and waters it.

Look at this Landmark and you will see a partly harvested black field.

You find many large circles in America. But one strange happening. If I search around north of Las Vegas (Area 51 etc) I find many isolated small airfields. Also clusters of craters, presumably Bombing Ranges. But if I stay looking around too long, the screen becomes covered with black squares and Google Earth locks up, and sends a report off. Is the area somehow restricted and we are all being monitored?:spin:

That doesn't happen to me. But I live in Vegas and yes those craters are where they did nuke testing. I don't know if that area is restricted because when I go there it doesn't lock up. ;)
