View Full Version : New Jersey Waste Land???

I am hoping someone can help me understand what those large bodies of water in New Jersey are? They resemble waste ponds, but the frequency is staggering. They do, however, seem to be located somewhat away from residential areas (this is not always true) and are coupled with what look like factory type buildings; a few even have what could be pumping stations.
If one browses of NJ the "ponds" can not be missed.
I am eagerly awaiting some insight!

Thanks,

New Jersey is a big place, it might help if you'd post a placemark so we know what you're refering to. Without looking, I would guess maybe cranberry bogs.
