I've been working on a collection all the ships visible on GE that are over 1000 feet long, based off of K_Nevis' outdated post. (http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Number/828247)
I'm updating the collection as I find more ships and as ships are lost due to image updates. Before I upload the first version to the file database, I was wondering if perhaps some of you have found large 1000+ footers that aren't in the collection.
Please post a kmz file or the coords of any ships you find that match the criteria (over 1000+, not found before). Thank you!

I found one!! In the Netherlands, 51*56'52.60"N 4*03'07.04"O, around 1090 feet. There are a lot of big ones in the Netherlands, lots of 900+ feet.

Spider, if you dig around this forum, you should find a really really old thread that had the same topic from like DEC '05 back when I was a new member, I don't know though, it could've been deleted.

In your file are the 1205 and 1210 ft ships from the same class.
Both are Gudrun-Maersk-Class Container Ships with a total length of 1205 ft. This ships are the largest container ships until we will find the new Emma-Maersk-Class.

Probably..
I was basing measurements off of what I got with my ruler..rather than the ships themselves and then researching their lengths. Seeing that I can't find many other ships, I'm going to add info (pictures, info, websites, etc) to each ship I can positively identify (when I have time).

You can identify them on the rows of containers before and after the bridge. These are the only ships with such a length and container rows.
