Well, I went over to Las Vegas on Google Earth today, and guess what, it's in lower resolution, you can't see the cars as clearly, and you can't see the people. I wonder when this happened.

I don't know I've a pretty good resolution right now.
I can count the cars with sunroofs and the people swimming in the numerous pools.

Something weird been going on last few days. Sometimes taking forever for GE to load imagery. At least for me.
I just tried Vegas and it's stuck at 97% and won't load the highest resolution tiles. In fact, some tiles just loading as grey squares.

Mine loads to 100% properly, but it's definitely in lower resolution. Just look at McCarran international, or this file:

Yeah, Mine Loads 100%, but as Spider said, much lower, I use to be able to see the shirts on people, now I can barely make the people out.
Why Would Google do something like this?

As noted, yes, it's been a few weeks. I think it was the update before the last one. I can't keep them straight anymore though.
It's always sad when new imagery is less clear, but unfortunately they do have to keep pace as best as they can with new roads and buildings and the like. Vegas certainly has more than its share of that.

While this is not Las Vegas related. Imagery in our area (Pendleton, OR) has been lowered on older photos. We have saved two versions of the same 2004GE photo. We captured it as displayed a couple years ago and now. They clearly are the same image, but the resolution has been lowered for some reason as compared to a couple years ago.

Do you mean they blurred it? If possible could you post an example?
