What is this border?

I've stumbled across a strange looking border. Is it a legit border, a glitch on my system, or a glitch in GE?

I see it too. It probably is a random border, probably between Papua New Guinea and something else..

It shows as an "International Border". Turn off International borders and it dissapears. Turn them on and it is back.

I moved in close there is an island group (Nukumanu Islands) on the north of the line that belongs to Papua New Guinea.

And the islands to the south of it belong to the Solomon Island group.

Yea, it does look pretty weird. Square too. I've seen some other strange international borders occasionally too. Sometimes they are in the middle of nowhere, or so they seem.
