A kmz file would have been nice. However, I think he's pointing out the Africa megaflyover in Africa. Some places are labeled, however, there are a ton of strips of flyover (from a plane rather than a satellite) images that are unlabeled. Is this in Mali??

Yes its megaflyover in Mali. File is not approved yet, it will be soon i hope. And yes there are some flyovers that are labeled but also ton of unlabeled ones. This one is interesting for me because it goes in like a path for 355 km. You can download kmz, just go to Categories/Unapproved Files/Path of hi res photos
