hi

i have a tom tom on my mobile and i use gps receiver with it so if i go on holiday i switch my gps on and activate my tom tom ok this all works fine what i want to know is when i am in a certain place of interest can i write down the longitude and latitude numbers from my tom tom and transfer them someway to google so i can view all the places i have been on holiday simply by writing theese numbers down

There's a couple of things you can (should be able to) do with GPS and GEarth.

Yes, you can write down the long/lat and then just plug that into GEarth's Fly To box.

And many GPS units will allow you to record a track and save it. You can then convert this file to a kml file and show your entire journey from start to finish. There's a few free online converters that will do the conversion if your Tom Tom software doesn't have that ability.

And remember, just because the GPS says you can go that way doesn't necessarily mean you can:
