Annoying rectangle on screen

I have a small rectangular window on top of my Google Earth screen - top left corner with some red and grey pattern - the red is a part of an X pattern. The cursor disappears behind the grey. Nothing I can do seems to get rid of it. Any ideas?

This is part of something you have downloaded that is no longer available. Look at the "layers" or better yet your "PLACES" to see if you downloaded anything that comes up everytime you load GE..


I have an App that loads earthquakes from USGS that does no load the Legend information box. It has a square with a red X in the middle. I just unchecked it in places and the box went away.
