About a week ago when I opened Google Earth I was offered a new version to be downloaded - and I'm wishing I hadn't!
It had all sorts of messy icons all over the place, obscuring what I wanted to see, so I cleared them off.
Now, the one thing I really need and use, road names, are nowhere to be seen. I have tried every category under Layers and there is nothing about road names - I have "Roads" checked, but there is no option to open anything further.
A few incomplete road numbers appear (motorways don't have the M, for example), but there are also white rectangles across some roads that look as if they are supposed to have numbers in them, but there are none.
The other things missing are the names I had for placemarks I had put in, and photo names are also missing from the blue dots one sees all over the place.
What is going on?
The version is Google Earth 4.3.7204.0836 (beta)
