I tried to include a Link to our Facility in my Microsoft Outlook signature. The only way i managed to do so (and only in Google Maps) was a very long text which hyperlinks to our facility. IŽd rather include a text like "visit our facility" which hyperlinks to our facility in Google Earth. Can you help me how to get that done? Thanks!!

I suspect an attachment with shortcut to URL would be flagged by many anti-virus programs. One option might be.

http://geohash.org/

Which creates a very short URL to a map location on Google Maps.

http://useamap.com/ might also be an option, but haven't tried it.

You could create a placemark in Google Earth and save it as KMZ file and attach that to your email. But I suspect very few people that you send emails to actually have GE installed.

I built a simple script for this very purpose a while ago. Send a link like this:

http://www.gearthhacks.com/kml.php?lat=33.763006&lon=-84.395012

Just change the lat/lon variables to the numbers you want. When a user visits that URL, a KML will be generated and they can fly to that location in Google Earth.

Mickey! You are amazing, how many scripts do you have?
