downloading KML

could someone point me in the right thread or tutorial about downloading parts of google earth or maps of the site and saving them as KML files? I'm trying to get a copy of Lake Murrey in S.C. as a Kml file for my gps device. Thanks for any help.

Do you mean you want to save the aerial pictures of Google Earth as a kml and use it on your GPS? That doesn't work.
