Very interesting. I've not seen that problem before.

Maybe try changing your graphics mode. Go to "Tools" --> "Options", then change from OpenGL to DirectX (or vice-versa) in the "Graphics Mode" box on the right.

Let us know if that helps.

Great! I'm glad that took care of it.

Hi
since I have upgraded to 4.3 I can't zoom the terrain. I don't can see anything.
I did what you said above (changing OpenGL/DirectXL) nothing happend.
I followed some advise in FAQ renaming the folder "InstallShield" to C:\Program Files\Common Files/InstallShield_OLD

nothing so far!

I did remove the google twice....

when uploading the google again, with google upgrader.exe it is downloaded pretty fast, to fast to my experience. I'm in Thailand and I have not the fastest connection ;-)
I think he is not downloading the maps??? Beside that I can see everything, I also can zoom in but never the pictures show up (terrain, landscape, map), just all other information comming up, but not the "real" thing.

can you help me? Really anoying because everything biside that looks fine, strange to me, very strange indeed

thanks ham

In your screenshots it looks like you've downloaded some overlays and network links. Some of these will replace the normal imagery with an overlay that covers the entire globe. The globe shot you have doesn't look like what I see at all. I'd suggest either turning off overlays and placemarks one at a time until you get to the one that's replacing the earth, or just turn them all off first and see if you get back to the world.

Thanks Munden :givebeer:
after deactivating my own stuff, im backto the world!! I did activate my places again and it still works. Thank you very much.

Here im living :yep: (see attached screen shot!

I don't know if this is the right place to mention it, but if you look on this island souther Penninsula (screen shot) you can see that there is some part missing!! When Google was released long ago, it was shown, nothing was missing on that part and the high resolution was from the beginning there. Just that missing part was lesser quality, but it was there!
This missing part is actually the most important part of the island. It is the famous "Fullmoon Party Beach" of Hadrin (or Haad Rin). Would be cool if there is a possibility to activate this part again, even with lower resolution!

To have a look, you can go to my web page www.hadrin.com/ and type additionally after the slash "index_eng.html" and you can see what I'm working on and specially for you as little "thank you". I'm doing a big update of my webpage just right now. It will be online in a few days. Actually only the "info" button gives you ready and finished pages.

regards, ham

I found the trouble maker. It is when the "BNG-12 month" is activatet, which makes the terrain unseen. Seem to me a little mistake? How somebody can find out by himself??:hair:

I also had a no terrain problem. I am using Google Earth 4.3.7284.3916 (beta) and Mandriva Linux 2008.1 kernel linux 2.6.24.7 Gnome 2.22.0
I was able to solve the problem by unticking Gallery in Layers.
