I don't know what this is

Hi there, this is my first post.

I've searched for the answer as best I can, but not quite sure exactly what this is - it looks like the bottom of a sled or ???? but it just happens to be over my house. My son talked his teacher into downloading G.E onto the school computer & he informed me it wasn't on their images, so I uninstalled mine & re-installed again to see if this would fix it, but as all of my placemarks were in the new download, I'm assuming this 'thing' is part of something I may have saved.

I live in Ballina Nsw Aust:
28°51'55.61"S 153°32'39.74"E

If it's only on my G.E, then I'll try to describe it as best as I can. Looking at it sitting over my town, it's shaped like a giant 'H' pointing East-West. It's in grey stripes - transparent in some places. It's whiter in the centre & on the tips of the longer parts. It's a pain as I can see my neighbours place but not mine :slant:

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mystery solved!

I was just looking in the bar on the side of the page where I have the names of my place marks, & there are 2 in there - one just has '????' next to the box, the one after that says - 'unnamed placemark'. I unticked the one with the question marks next to it & whatever it was over my house disappeared. Would that have been an overlay of some kind? or maybe something left from G.E when I first had it on my pc over a year ago?

I spose I had better do a bit of exploring to see what actually does what.

I got so lost checking everyones houses out (My ex can't work out how I know he has a built in pool when he lives on the other side of the country -lol) that I forgot all about the side bar.
