I had a file that was denied - "doesn't work as I describe" - can I get more info on what seems wrong? perhaps a screen shot? I would like to figure out what fixes may be needed, or which settings i may need to specify that I assumed would be the same on different machines.

The file seems to be working fine for me. I'm going to guess whoever denied it didn't turn on the 3D buildings layer.

I added a short admin note reminding people to turn on the D and the terrain layers and I'll let the denying mod undeny it.

Question - Is there a way to adjust my ground altitude without adjusting the tilt or zoom? In other words, look at frame 57, the altitude is as if I'm on my stomach. How can I change that to be as if I was standing?

I deniet because it didn't work as described included 3D and terrain layers. I tried several several times but nothing happened.

I don't know if other mods also tried because it was long time in the list waiting to be approved/denied.

When it works for you Appletom, please undeny it for us. :)

Appletom, I've been discovering things here and there, using my scripts to generate kml and getting effects which circumvent the problems I encountered using the GE interface. I had googled around for hints regarding how to do it an "easy way" but didn't seem to find the info. The one conversation i found about ho-hop tours basically said you're stuck with it, next best thing is to draw a path.

When I uploaded that TTA "ride" file, at that (seems far distant) time, I had not yet discovered setting the altitude in the kml. I've had trouble getting that to work in GE. If I were do to the TTA all over again now, I would do it differently [may update it soon].
One issue is the integer-level granularity which GE seems to enforce - you can have 90 tilt, 89, or 88 ... and so if you are 100m away from a point on the ground, you can be in the ground (90), or some trig-determined altitude related to exactly 89 or 88 ... so the choice in this zero-altitude method might end up being either you hug the ground, or you are on top of the ceiling. But that's just a problem for the zero-alt method. Right now when I remake it, I will not be looking down at the ground, but at some appropriate 5 or 6 m altitude. Also I will not be fixed on a distant point but will be rotating to stay straight ahead. I'm pretty happy with the epcot futureworld I just uploaded today - this is pretty much the effect I wanted all along.

hi - i still see that message that i cannot upload files to the file are until I delete the one that was denied. I gather that one is still up in the air ... ? :) I have a nice Disney studios walk that I'm going to attach the epcot thread.

I gather that one is still up in the air ... ?Nope, I'm just an idiot and got sidetracked. Sorry.

I've approved it now, you can see it here (http://www.gearthhacks.com/dlfile30164/Disney-World-TTA-Ride-3D.htm).

I just tried again and did what said in the description but only messed up colours are shown when I click the thumbnails. Weird.

I have 2 laptops - a newer lenovo and an older dell.

I'm finding that the "non hopping tours" I've created are non-hopping only on the dell - the lenovo jumps into the stratosphere between placemarks.

I'm unable to find any settings to account for this.

Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? Thanks.

I've downloaded three of your files. Two of them jump and the other does not.

Did you by any chance use two machines to create the files? Maybe some obscure GEarth setting on one machine is causing something?
