Google Lively Mashed With Google Earth

A few days ago While coding the beta of "Zoom Full Screen - Google Earth Browser Plugin", I started to look into the new virtual product from Google, "Lively".

# So, I began the following:

Basic operation: My addon to Google Earth, waits until a use clicks a Placemark in Google Earth. The Identifier in the Placemark will tell which room to activate for the consumers side or user automatically as shown by the below image.

Note: Lively actions are all available and you can pop-out to full screen from Within Google Earth and the pop-back to mashing with Google Earth.

# Note:
I wrote an application to Google Earth awhile back using GTalk passing Dynamically, GEO LL async in realtime between Google Talk session to span Global locations. That coding, is now, applicable to the fostering of the interaction with the Google Lively and Google Earth session between users hosting a Lively ROOM.

I am working today on the Google Earth FlyTo Navigation Request.

#Scenario:
When a user is in a Lively Room chating with other Avatars, an user will [ ACTIVATE ] His/Her Left Mouse Btn on the GE Rendered Globe. I'll capture the GE LL and automatically post to the Lively Chat room for that action to the other Avatars to retrieve and navigate to, that is Google Earth. This will provide a viewed synchronization of a particular LL Geographical Location between all members of a Lively Room.

Hi All,

I had a very productive day with the Google Lively and Google Earth mashup. I am still working with the FlyTo GE LL Navigation.
But, I think what I'll do, is release the basic mashup of the two and begin the Beta. So, this evening I will be building an installer.

Note: To be on the SAFE side of the various rooms in Lively, I'll fix the room to be dedicated to ( Lively: Google Room ).

At some period of development, I'll open the application to allow user's own individual choice of Lively's Rooms.

Also, I decided not to place a Lively Launch Button from the Google Earth as shown in the previous image I posted above.

Until all is done through the Beta, I'll leave the addon as a System Tray Appliccation.

Hi To All,

This is a 1st Beta release of the Mashup of Google Lively and Google Earth. I am continuing the process to incorporate the FlyTo from a Lively Room Chat session to fly dynamically between Avatars using Google Earth.

Note: The Google Earth's Left Panel will be the host for the Google Lively controll. Use the vertical divider to resize the Google Lively. Sometime you have to tweak left or right in order to encapsulate entire Left Panel window. I'll adjust this action later. Also, you can POP-OUT / POP-IN and go Full Screen with Lively then return to the hosting LeftPanel in Google Earth.

Question:
In the opinion of any of you - Is this Avatar posting tag for a GEO LL, OK, for posting in a Lively Room, without being annoying to other Avatars ?

In/Out methods between Lively and Earth completed and I will merge the code today for a completion very soon for the 1st Beta representing the totally mashup.

Also, I see within the current development of how that I could provide a dynamic language translation while in the Lively Chat.

Mashup Demo Of Google Lively With Google Earth

Demo Note: I used TechSmith's Camtasia ( Excellent Application ). Durning the capturing you'll notice I had to trigger the FlyTo 2 extra times in order to locate geographically. Camtasia was grabbing the set mouse position from my addon causing the necessary retriggering in Lively's Chat Window I've mentioned.

Demo: Launch Lively and Earth and send to IDEVFH Avatar a geographical location - Aspen Mountain.

Hi To All,

I wanted to post an additional comment and NOT for the sake of bumping the priority of the General Discussion Forum area.

When I was doing the above demo capturing, I thought I was never going to get an opportunity to do so! The fact that there's seems to be LITTLE or NO monitoring of the conversations within Google Lively's own Room. The fowl language and the exhibitions prevented me from easily capturing the video demo.

I said that, to say, I will not release the actual Beta Of ( GELPlanet ) Mashup Of Google Lively and Google Earth until this situation has gotten much better due to all the TRASH there, present, being allowed in the Google Lively Room from the Avatars.

This is soooo disappointing, when Google has brought us such an excellent application only to be taken advantage of by misuse of others.

Such a waste of time to have developed this addon from my perspective.

P.S. Many persons on Google Lively's Forum have placed the same sentiments as well. Sometimes, it just seems like it is residing on deaf ears.

Shame...
