Google Earth crash when zooming

Hello, I have a problem with google earth, I think that my laptop meets the requirements... (Win XP Pro, SP3, 2GHz, 0.99GB, and 128MB video). When I open GE and I click at some direction in Fly to... It starts zooming, but then the laptop freezes and restarts... Can someone help me?? Thanks!!! =]

What version GE do you have? There used to be a major bug caused by zooming in with one of the older versions.

If you have current version of GE, next things I'd try:

1) Try switching from DirectX to Open GL mode or vice versa (in GE settings)
2) Make sure video card drivers are up to date
3) Try lower resolution on latop
4) Reinstall GE

If that doesn't fix it, then you might have a hardware issue such as bad memory, or driver issue. Both of these are difficult to diagnose.

Do you ever get any kind of error message....such as "IRQL not less or equal"

Hi... thank you for your answers... my version is 4.3.7284.3916 (beta)... (I´m not sure if it´s the latest.. I think it is..) And I don´t get an error message... It just freezes my lap and restart itself...
