Google Earth 4.3.7284.3916 (beta)
Build Date Jul 8 2008

still the newest version?

(A read more more about a new GE version including Chrome.
I don't want to install Chrome and even GooglePack.)

As far as I know, that's the latest version yes. That's what I have and the update check says there are no newer versions around.
