Array in NM and CO

Well, whilst browsing Google Earth, I stumbled across a huge array of small clearings in the forests in New Mexico and Colorado. At the widest point, the array is 93 miles across. I assume it's military, but I'm not sure what they are.

Any ideas folks?

Many of them look like small pumpjack oil wells. Some of the sites that are visible in Street View, are clearly storage either for oil or natural gas too.

You can see the small storage tank and some pipes sitting around as well.
